Simply put… burnout almost took me out but Still I Rise I guess

A year ago, I ran myself into the ground while doing the very thing I love most because I never learned how to pace myself. It was bad… Like photography was my entire life and I ignored all the signs until I started getting anxious just looking at cameras typa bad. So I gave myself space, time, and lots of grace to reclaim my gift.

Now, I’m so grateful to be in a new season that has gently rescued me out of the commercial photography world 🫣 and enabled me to make it my personal medium again. I don’t know what it will look like moving forward, but right now I’m having a lot of fun documenting candid community happenings.

In particular, I had the pleasure of photographing “What is a Garden?” cohosted by the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and Pao Arts Center. It was an evening full of joy, laughter, and ease where I made a beautiful bouquet, got my portrait taken by the one and only Mel, and spent some qt with some of my favorite peeps from the museum.

Grateful for moments like these to reset, refocus, reconnect, and serve again. 🌿
