“Who Am I??” (2025) | Assets for Artists

“Who am I??” (2025) is an interactive multimedia installation exploring identity through photography, handwritten text, and audience participation.

“Who am I??” (2025)

visually reflects the inner workings of Aurélie’s mind while capturing the collective energy of the first cohort of her artist incubator, AURE Creative— a studio that empowers emerging BIPOC voices through art-making, creative strategy, and public programming.

Serving as both personal reflection and a record of a shared creative process, the installation’s structure mirrors how Aurélie thinks. On one side, a precise grid of photographs reflects her affinity for cohesion, order, and aesthetics. On the other, layered arrangements of handwritten notes capture a restless curiosity that continually asks deeper questions, reflects, and searches for clarity.

The photographs are not staged, but intentionally captured moments that convey the essence, laughter, and synergy of the cohort’s five sessions. The handwritten notes amplify not only Aurélie’s voice, but also those of participants through quotes, questions, and moments that lingered.

Who am I?? is more than documentation; it is an open invitation to uncover, name, and claim one’s creative identity. Viewers are invited to step inside, witness, and participate in an ongoing dialogue around self-discovery, purpose, and voice.

Lynn’s Assets for Artists highlights

“This piece was made possible through my experience in the Assets for Artists Capacity Building Program, which equipped me with tools to structure community-based work in ways that are both adaptable and sustainable. The program also shifted how I approach my practice in reminding me that I do not have to work in isolation, and that collaboration and shared learning are essential to how I build and facilitate creative spaces.”
