I spend International Women’s Day in a room full of some of the most powerful women I know and I wouldn’t have it any other wayyyy ✨

The women speak up against the powers that be through their art, advocate for others in their communities, and create spaces for more voices to be heard. The room was filled with so much joy, hope, and curiosity- exactly what we’re all craving more of in these trying times 🫂

It was such an honor to share my piece “Birds Flying High“ (CuttyHunk Island, 2021) in response to A Yellow Rose Project and the centennial of the ratification of 19th Amendment.

Thank you Leica, AYRP, and Concept Aware for seeing me and giving me the space to tell my story alongside 105 other amazing women photographers. And thank you Ellen for the kind words you whispered to me as you stood up to present your work. I’ll forever cherish this moment and this day 🫶🏾
